FAQs

What is Pilates?

The Pilates Method is an exercise technique developed over 90 years ago by Joseph H. Pilates. The Method combines strength, stamina, stability and stretching for an invigorating workout. Although the focus is on the Core Abdominal muscles to initiate movement, Pilates is a full body workout. Pilates is practiced both on Mats and on Apparatus; Reformer, Tower, Cadillac and Wunda Chairs. Mat work is the foundation of the Pilates Method, while the Apparatus helps clients to become proficient in the technique.
