Beacon Pilates and the Pilates Studio at AllSport teaches Classical Pilates to the Hudson Valley, the way Joseph Pilates intended it. Founded in 2006, by Juliet Harvey a classically certified Pilates Instructor, Massage Therapist and creator of the Beacon Pilates Teacher Training program, with over 20 years experience.
We pride ourselves on our rigorous and empathetic practice of Pilates in a relaxed studio atmosphere. Both studios offer individually focused instruction by keeping class sizes small. We are focused on our clients’ needs and on improving body alignment to improve overall strength and stability.
We round out our holistic approach to health and wellness by also offering Massage Therapy at our Beacon location.

Juliet, has been keeping bodies moving for over 20 years. From her days as the lead Pilates Instructor and Massage Therapist for River Dance, the Show to being a Senior Instructor for Power Pilates International Certification Program through today, where she is the founder of Beacon Pilates and The Pilates Studio at AllSport. The former dancer received her Comprehensive Pilates Certification from Power Pilates in 2001.<br>In 2014, Juliet created the Beacon Pilates Teacher Training Program. Today, there are over seven affiliate studios using her program to teach Classical Pilates to Instructors in the U.S.
Shannon’s curiosity in the Method grew after experiencing the benefits from consistently attending Pilates classes. This led the dancer to study the Classical Pilates Method in depth for her final senior project. Over the course of two years, she had the privilege of studying Classical Pilates under Bob Liekens, Phoebe Higgins, Susan Moran and many other senior Pilates Instructors at Power Pilates. In 2005, Shannon received her Comprehensive Pilates Certification through Power Pilates.
Nathalie began practicing Pilates in 2006 with the hope of finding relief for her lower back pain. Through consistently practicing the Method, she felt stronger and more flexible than ever before. Nathalie wanted to share the power of Pilates with others and continue to expand her own knowledge by studying to become a Pilates instructor.In 2013, Nathalie received her Mat Certification through Power Pilates. She continued her education and received her Apparatus Certification in 2015 through Beacon Pilates, both with Juliet Harvey.
As a student of Pilates since 2014, Tina was impressed with how her body not only looked but felt. The Pilates Method seemed to allow her to do everything. The Dental Hygienist’s new-found strength and flexibility led her to pursue a new career path. Studying under Juliet Harvey, Tina received her Comprehensive Pilates Certification through Beacon Pilates in 2015.
Lisa began practicing Pilates in 2008 after suffering from a running injury. She quickly experienced increased strength, flexibility and noticeably improved posture. After experiencing the benefits of regularly practicing The Method, she knew it was good for everyone and wanted to share it. In 2010, Lisa received her Mat Certification through Power Pilates. She continued her education and received her Pilates Apparatus Certification in 2016 through Beacon Pilates, both with Juliet Harvey. She believes a body in motion is a healthy body and loves working with all ages and abilities.
Anne was looking for a comprehensive, low impact workout when she found Pilates. Through regular practice of The Method, she experienced increased strength, flexibility and improved muscle tone. She decided she wanted to increase her knowledge and strength. In 2017, Anne received her Comprehensive Pilates Certification through Beacon Pilates, studying under Juliet Harvey.
Nancy started doing Pilates in 2012 at the urging of her sister. She had previously broken her collarbone and years before had dislocated a knee and still had periodic pain and limited mobility issues. After a few months the range of motion in her shoulder improved 100% and the stability in her knee was drastically improved. She loves everything about Pilates and thinks everyone should do it, which is why she went thru the training program to become an instructor studying under Juliet Harvey in 2019. After a 30 year career as a public defender she is excited for a new chapter in her life.
Rachel discovered Pilates in 2002 after recovering from a dance related injury. She took her first class at the age of 16 and has practiced the Method ever since. Pilates not only kept Rachel moving in a way that felt similar to ballet, but provided a vigorous and supportive form of movement that kept her strong and injury free. Rachel became a certified Physician Assistant in 2011 and has worked in several medical specialities including Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, and Dermatology. She strongly believes Pilates is beneficial for everyone regardless of where you are on your journey to a fit and healthy life. Rachel completed her Pilates teacher training with Juliet Harvey in July 2019. She is passionate about spreading the knowledge and benefits of Pilates to all people.
